I helgene arrangerer de palestinske deltakerene utflukter til ulike deler av Vestbredden. Denne helgen gikk turen til Bethlehem og Hebron.

I Betlehem kan man ikke unngå å se separasjonsbarrieren mellom Israel og Vestbredden. Den åtte meter høye muren er 670 km lang, og omringer hele Vestbredden. Israelernes offisielle uttalelse er at muren er satt opp av sikkerhetsmessige årsaker, mens de palestinske myndighetene hevder at motivet egentlig er å utvide det israelske territorium. Muren er mange steder bygget 10 til 14 kilometer innenfor grensene som FNs sikkerhetsråd fastsatte i 1967. Den israelske barrieren er et av de største problemområdene i konflikten, da den bryter internasjonal lov.

En aktivist ved navn Moodi jobber med ikke-voldelig motstand. Ved hjelp av grafitti og andre kunstneriske uttrykk sprer han budskapet om den virkeligheten mange palestinere lever i. Selv har Moodi i 13 år vært hindret fra å se sin far, som sitter fengslet på den andre siden av muren.

Muren innskrenker ikke bare palestinernes bevegelsesfrihet, men reduserer også tilgangen på utdanning, helsehjelp og arbeid. I tillegg kontrollerer Israel mye av varetransporten inn i Palestina, noe som vanskeliggjør all form for planlegging og utvikling i samfunnet.
